Ni Sa Bula (Greetings)

My name is Kerryn and I am an international student originally from Fiji. I am currently a 3rd year student studying Civil Engineering at the Queensland University of Technology.

I personally believe that leadership is not only about being at the forefront of events or an organization but rather I believe that leadership is about service to the community. To be given the opportunity to make a positive impact or impression on someone's life is a privilege because they in future will have their own area of influence and impact on other people. Therefore, as the newly elected Vice-President, I am very humbled and honoured to serve such a diversity of people and a network of nations.

Being in a foreign country can sometimes be daunting and without a doubt numerous international students may find it very challenging juggling the social and mental aspects of adapting to their new environment with their studies. CISA exists to take a proactive stance in ensuring that your experience in Australia is worthwhile by advocating issues on your behalf at a national level.

Therefore, I hope to serve you as best I can and help make you feel at home during your stay here in this great southland we call Australia.
